Heritage Series Grunters
Heritage Series Grunters will feature our natural sounding, easy to blow profile and inserts. But these grunters will also feature a Tiger Maple Grunt tube. Finished with iron nitrate to bring out the curl. And a hand rubbed oil finish. A throw back to Kentucky Long Rifles created in the 1730's. These rifles, first created in Lancaster.Pa by German and Swiss Craftsmen who had immigrated to the colonies. They long slender beautiful works of art. Much prefered over the "Brown Bessie's" of the day, which were very heavy in comparison. The Kentucky Long Rifle was at home on Washington's battlefield but also all across the colonies and frontiers. Daniel Boone carried a Kentucky Rifle through the Cumberland Gap. Most every home across the frontier had one of these rifles. Coveted for the light weight and flat shooting abilities. Frontiersmen were able to use these rifles to secure game at longer distances than ever before. I have long admired the craftsmanship of these rifles. The curl of the tiger maple catches the eye with its beauty and no two are exactly the same. It is my hope that these Heritage Grunters will catch your eye and help you remember the craftsman who built the first Kentucky Long Rilfes and the frontiersmen who carried them. Whether your hunting the mountains of Kentucky or the swamps of Louisiana these Heritage Grunters are going to sound as natural as the buck your hunting. Like all of our Grutners they are adjustable from mature buck to fawn bleat.
